Hello everyone im looking for my first Mac computer and am tossed between MacBook air 11 or 13 or buying the new base I Mac 21.5 I'm looking dogie the best value for my money I like to do photos maybe video an it need to be fast any suggestions any one ?

I'm stuck.
Can I use my MBP as a pillow, technically speaking? It is safe to sleep on it? I want to use it till its warm then use it to keep me warm. I have access to an outlet.

You're going to rip your hair out coding for IE6.. is there a reason you're wanting to?
Considering that IE6 is being promoted by Microsoft to die I really wouldn't worry about making it compatible, unless your audience is from South Korea where 24% are still using IE6 :p

Who is General Sentiment? Is he in charge of the mobile wars? And what is the Impact Value ranking? Is it this:

The only logical thing, should anything get released, would be Final Cut Server.
Other related products are DVD Studio Pro 5, Blu-Ray Drives, Phenomenon (Shake Successor) and Cinema Displays. I do not expect the first three until NAB at the earliest. The Displays maybe at the developers conference.
Apple would not announce Newton 2 at a Final Cut User Event.
Altogether accurate except for the fact that FCS wouldn't qualify as much of a secret. If you read the thread on the original appleinsider article, you'd get a hint as to why Jobsy didn't show:

The organizer of the LAFCPUG Supermeet in question claimed he started this rumor. I'm not sure if he was joking or not.
Fairly annoying really. In all my years visiting rumour sites, I've never got my hopes up about something only to learn that it was a fabrication by a singular person in the industry I work with some kind of agenda (presumably to increase turnout at his FC Meet). But then, that's the nature of the rumour beast, I guess. Phenomenon, Bluray, DVDSP5 and the ACDs will just all have to wait.

Amoeba is an awful place to buy used CDs - any location.
It's fine for vinyl and even new CDs releases, but the selection and prices are superior at any of the online places mentioned above - eBay, Amazon, Half.com and even SecondSpin.
Yeah, Amoeba's used CD quality is quite sketchy. SecondSpin is decent or Rasputin.

It's all going to be crowded, even KOP. Look at KOP on a normal day, and i dont know if any of you saw KOP on the iPhone launch. Just cuz its in a mall doesnt mean it will be any less crowded.

I have a white iPhone4, I have no issues with the sensor or drop of signal at all :)
I was waiting on the 5 but have always wanted a white iPhone, my 3GS is black and so far I'm very pleased indeed :D

You can use almost anything with a tripod for landscapes, and add in AutoPano Pro if you want to stitch. Macro is a different beast- insects or static subjects? The Tamron 90mm SP Di is a great choice as is the Nikon 105mm, consider the Sigma 150mm macro if you need the working distance.

I tend to do static objects mostly but will occasionally take pictures of the odd insects. But to be honest, I'm not looking for lenses for that until next year when I get some more money. I think that currently I'll be looking lens for landscape for now. Will definitely use pano pro in the future. Been looking at things like that for a while now.

Are third party drives compatible with Macbook Pro? I'm talking about one you could actually put in the notebook and use on the go. I'd like it to be fully functional for both storage and BD playback.
Put in the notebook? Don't think there are any options for that...think you'd be stuck with an external at this point. I'm not overly familiar with the current available products, but I recall seeing mention of them online recently, I think on TUAW. A search of the forums and/or Google should get you going. But it's probably not going to be your ideal of an integrated solution or a super portable option, unfortunately.

Corona SDK could do it pretty easily. You'll want to watch tutorials from them at this site: http://www.learningCorona.com to make sure they cover what you want.

Hi all,
Just curious to see how many have a apple laptop and and Ipad. Work just bought me a MBP last week and I already have a Ipad 2. Just trying to justify the two, maybe I sell the ipad 2 because I have to keep the laptop. By the way, I love both of them...I use the Ipad 2 for reading books, magazines etc...

Here is a screen shot. As you can see the Print Center can see my printer, yet it says that I have no drivers insalled. And apparently I nee some drivers because I cannot click add to add the printer. Also, I just downloaded gimp print and it did not seem to work either. I believe that there is some problem with the all in one printers. This is unfortunate, i was planning on using the same printer between my PC and my Mac. I guess I'm going to have to network or move my files to my PC if I ever need to print anything, which is going to be a pain....because I refuse to buy another printer, one should be enough.
