The reason for my opening a new thread is to get attention from other members to get my question answered. I did not want to bury my question in to those lengthy threads, and the chance of getting such question answered is highly improbable. OK now to my additional questions on this subject.
Questions:
1. Did you guys receive all the receipts (yours and dependents) together in a single postal mail?
2. If that is the case then in my situation should I safely assume my wife's application was rejected?
Please respond I have only 5 days to re-submit a new application for my wife. If I miss it then our whole GC dream will become a nightmare:(

If you are worrying about your GC costs then file it on your own. Its very easy. I filed 485 on my own along with EAD and AP. I got my receipt numbers, EAD, FP. I guess 140 needs to be filed my employer with help of Attorney. Or you can file with help of your employer.(i am not sure on this)

Visa recapture should be projected as corrective action of wasting approved quota of visa which would otherwise have been utilize, if not for agencies inefficiency. So it is fixative action of already approved visas that went un-utilized.

why did you want to refile? Did you get a copy of the complete filing from your attorneys office to see what they filed? Was something missed in your first filing?

I talked to multiple doctor's and they said that the reason why the test is NOT done again is that they know it is going to be positive (so why do it). Instead they go to the 2nd step (Chest X Ray).
They also mentioned that for documentation purpose if you have to get it done, just go for it. So, looks like i will be going for getting the test done 3rd time like arkanand. I too just want to finish this paper work and get done with.
I tried getting the documentation from a NY Hospital where I was working in 1998. They sent the doctor the Radiology report mentioning the X Ray was clear. I don't see any size indications of the PPD testing. I either have to get back to them to send me the PPD size after testing or forget it and go for a test. So, I think I am going to get the test done. Luckily, I don't have to get the X Rays done as I just got one done in Jan 2009 (and the civil surgeon wanted the copy of those reports).
Conclusion:- What I learnt from this experience is that try to keep as much paper work of tests that have been done, so that when needed you can show it to the doctor and NOT get un-needed testing done plus is saved us hazzles of time/money/insurance to get these tests done.

1. Expect further retrogressions on the visa bulletins
This is common among all versions
2. USCIS received approximately 800,000 total applications in July and August in addition, they received 100,000 family based I-485 cases in JulyThis is a very debatable number. Not true. Premium processing is expected to start from Jan 2008 as soon as this mess is over. It's a money maker for CIS and a cash-strapped org will not simply kill the golden goose.
7. Aytes said they are trying to set it up that next year the EAD and Advance Paroles will be issued for more than a one year expiration and that there may possibly be one document issued for both the EAD and APs. More on this will come by the end of the year.
Not strange, considering that you "pre-pay" for your EAD and AP for filers who have filed and will file after July 30,2007. It only increases CIS workload to renew EAD and AP everyyear for free. What I've heard is that this is only for applicants who applied after new fee structure is in effect. :(

so, i am interested to know more about your self-employment status. so you saying that you actually worked for your own company when the 485 was adjudicated? so, they did not ask you any questions about that? no rfe? no raised eyebrows? that is cool! how was it? please share!
That is possible. It is like working with any other company. This not exactly self-employment, we (myself +my wife) have created own corporation with my wife has president and me as employee (Both of us have EAD). So then start working for that company. No need to inform USCIS, it is like working with any other company. Again i am still working in same or simlar job description per Labor/I140. It is verymuch legal and we are paying taxes too!!! .

If they call you for an interview at local office during adjudication, which may happen after anywhere from weeks, months, or years, there are chances that you may be asked to produce paystubs starting from month before interview date all the way back to your first H1 entry into US.
Please do not open new threads for these question for which there are several thread opened and are being discussed thru. Why don't you ask this question on one of those post?

I got my H4 stamped first and then applied for H1 while in India. Travelled to US on H4. This is the reason why I cannot work in US without stamping.
I am not too sure if USCIS would ask questions when I apply for h1B again in future through another company, about my not using my previous H1 aprooval for working in US.
What is the validity on the H1 ? Did you get this H1 before you got H4 stamped and before landing in USA on H4 ?
It is not possible to get the stamping on company "B" if you have H1 from company "A".
You can get the stamping done overseas based on the current H1. You can enter US based on that stamping. You are expected to work for that company to transfer teh H1 to a different company. You will be asked to send at least one pay stub (more some times in case of RFE) with your transfer application.

Google G639 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-639.pdf) form for the pdf version. Here, it's already done. Just click on the link it will take you to the form you need to request the information. Fill it completely in as much details as possible and then get it notarized for your signature at a bank. Once notarized, mail the form out to the address shown on the form.
My personal experience:
I followed the exact procedure as explained above and it took me 3 months to get everything i requested as a pdf document files on a CD instead of paper copies. It depends upon how many requests they have in the pipeline. 3 months is not bad i think. Good luck for your request.

i always start a drawing or anything, with primitives. Usually circles and curves because they are organik..if i want something more rigid i uses cubes...then i try to visualize that primitives potential and how i can link it to something else alter in the composition...after i do that 1 of 2 things happen, I either do it or i get scared ima ruin it and just go work on something else.

I recieved reply from consulate stating that I need to get PCC from US consulate as I have not being living in India for a long time therefore there is no use of getting PCC from local police station. I like the top one the way it is. It is moody and the motion blur of the bird just adds to the feeling. Great capture.
With the rainbow, I think I may have tried to get an anchor for the foreground. Such as the yellow flower/bush in the lower right. I often find myself shooting with the camera at ground level. But it is a fine picture, nevertheless.
The bird shots are good. I would probably cut out some of the top of the last one.

My Last name was mispelt on the 485/131/765 notices.I called USCIS and the took a note of the correct names and told that they will correct them when the officer gets my file.The names were mispelt on the EAD card as well.I was asked by the USCIS to return the card and send another application along with the card asking for the correction.

I thought this would be the most appropriate place to post.
I am on my 3rd year of H1-B (non-technical field), just moved to a new company and was going to start my process toward getting a gc in the next month or so. Now, with all of this, I am very confused.
Do you folks think that it is most appropriate to sit tight and wait to see what happens? or to just go for it now?
I'd appreciate your input, as I have to make a decision soon.

Start off your infopass with the following question.

And then proceed with the other questions you have on your list.
After you are done with all your questions and assuming USCIS hasn't kicked you out of their office, make it clear that you want USCIS to look at your application before others ahead of you in the queue. If they don't, "you will be back" for another infopass.
If you have no intention of answering the questions, then no one is forcing you to do.:p
Making a mockery of a person's anxiety does not really show well on your personality.:cool:
It is his right to take info pass appointments to know more about his case. If it helps him sleep at nights, then that is a good remedy.
Ideally, the fix for this is legislative action that is being driven by IV leadership.

My thinking is that this mad rush of dates being current, should not have much effect on the retrogression in Oct 07, because either way most of us will get green cards only after date becomes current....granted we'll get EAD and AP.....Since last retrogression for EB-2 was April 04, my guess is going to be somewhere like Jan 04.........Please share ur thoughts....

1. Those who waited till their PD becomes current.
2. Those whose labor certification after many years (5-6) finally was cleared by DOL.
The group one should not push the retrogression worse than what was before the beginning of the years simply because of the fact they they were retrogressed means their PD is not very old.
The group two can affect the visa bulleting significantly. In many cases DOL worked upside down clearing the oldest PD the last. The bulk of the cases comes from the infamous 2001 amnesty for illegals when approximately 240,000 application completely clogged DOL. I do not know how many of those 240,000 still around - if we admit 50,000 that means 100,000 green cards = cutoff date for EB3 may go back to 2002.
