I am in the same boat and need to post the paper in the next couple of days. Can somenoe please help me. I would greatly appreciate your help.
My priority date is Oct 2005 and i applied for i485 (EB2) in July 2007. I am planning on filing i-485 for my wife as a dependant/derivative of my application on August 2, 2010. My i-140 is approved. My case is pending at Texas Service Center. According to the i485 instructions and USCIS website (both revised on 12/03/09), the application has to go to :
USCIS
Attn: AOS
2501 S. State Hwy, 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067
My lawyers office informed me that the address to post is:
4141 N. St. Augustine Road
Dallas, TX 75227
I couldnt find this Dallas, TX address on neither the i485 instructions form or the USCIS website. Can someone who filed recently (after 12/03/09) to Texas Service Center confirm the correct address please. It would be of great help since i need to file the papers in the next couple of days.

I did my MBA in one of the premium university in USA.
My OPT was ending in May 2008, However since I was in cap-gap, I got a new I-20 from my school till 30-Sep-2008 and I continued working on my I-20 with my previous employer.
I applied for H1-B in FY 2008 under master quota from a small consulting company B.
My case went into RFE so I left USA on 30-Sep-2008.
I got a approved petition on 23-Nov 2008 . I went to New Delhi consulate for H1-B stamping. However I got a Blue 221 G slip. I never submitted any document as the consultant who applied for my visa , needs lots of time to process the documents. In the mean time I got another offer from one of the fortune 500 companies in USA. I am just exploring the possibility of H1-B transfer in this case. Ofcourse they will file a new H1-B application but would I be cap-exempt in this case?

Hi,
My mother-in-law is coming to US on 2nd Dec on a one-way ticket, she will be going back around March 09 i.e. in almost 4 months.
As we dont know abt the dates as such of return so we have booked a one-way ticket from India to US.
Will there be any problem due to that at port of entry?
Do she also need to carry travel insurance along with her?

Now that dates for EB2 have moved to Jan 2000 PD, it might be interesting to see if we have folks in here with EB2 PD in or before Jan 2000.

We have written a letter to our congressman asking if he could help expediting the process. They called us yesterday and said that they would try to do their best though they couldn't promise on the outcome.

so, i am interested to know more about your self-employment status. so you saying that you actually worked for your own company when the 485 was adjudicated? so, they did not ask you any questions about that? no rfe? no raised eyebrows? that is cool! how was it? please share!
That is possible. It is like working with any other company. This not exactly self-employment, we (myself +my wife) have created own corporation with my wife has president and me as employee (Both of us have EAD). So then start working for that company. No need to inform USCIS, it is like working with any other company. Again i am still working in same or simlar job description per Labor/I140. It is verymuch legal and we are paying taxes too!!! .

Couple of years back, it was simple.. You just walk to the local IRS office and fill in a W-7 with proper ID, you are done. This has changed now. You can apply for a ITIN (W7) for H4, only when you file your tax returns. You complete the Form W-7 and file it along with your tax return, The W7 is processed first and then the taxes.

Pixel Stretching is easy.
All you have to do is use the Single Line Selection tool and bring it to a spot in your photo or image. Then copy and paste onto a new layer.
Next, all you have to do is stretch that little area across the screen to the edge of your photo.
Ah, I suck at explaining ,you can see what I mean at the right half of this picture. When you see it, you will understand what I mean.

I Have my EAD card but my spouse was in India when i applied for EAD. That mean she doesn't have EAD card rite now.

Its a long wait for everybody, and I understand that everyone wants to get their application approved when the dates are current, or at least before the dates retrogress. However, putting too much pressure on USCIS is not going to get us anywhere, except it will make things worst. In my humble opinion, we should let USCIS do their work, so that they don't waste any visa numbers.
Just my two cents, but its your personal choice. No hard feelings!

I did extended for my in-laws when they entered last time to US. When they entered next time they entered without any issues.
A quick question. Did you extend after the initial 6 month period? I had a friend who extended the original 3 months and received another 3 months.

My HR called DBEC to get the final status of LC. They replied that "notice of forward" had been issued and since there is no query from that position. They have asked my Hr to call in 15 days to hear the final status.
Have you guys heard anything like "notice of forward"( it was something like this)...
These LC people in dallas are killing me..!
