Hi,
I belong to Virginia. But Virginia office does not have the dates available for next 2 months. Can I visit to the neighbouring Maryland state USCIS local office for Information. Is it legal and valid to go to Other local office for information?

I had LUD on I-140 on 11/25 as well. 140 was approved late last year.

Why not use people who already agreed to volunteer before by looking at their profiles?
Unfortunately we need folks who are active on the forums (and hence must have read this thread).
Also, we did not really clarify what a volunteer does (when someone registers), so to ensure that only folks who are really interested reply.

I and my husband both of us lost our passports too. We got it stamped again when we went to India. In between I transferred my h1s also with the copy of lost passport and duplicate passport issued by indian embassy ny office. It wasn't too difficult to get it stamped again from mumbai consulate india.
You might get it stamped from Canada or Mexico. We just didn't want to take risk because we had copy of lost and inside usa we could do all our work(including transferring h1s) with the copy.
Don't worry. It is not that big as it looks. Though indian embassy took 12 months to issue duplicate passport

Well, iam in the same dilemma. I was out of country for 3 months since March and out of job since then.I recently took up a permanent position.I did not inform my employer about it.The new employer is willing to give the offer letter which is needed for invoking AC21. I do have a copy of the approved
I140.I don't have any contact with my employer except for using the COBRA option of health coverage.So at this point iam not even sure if my approved I140 has been withdrawn or not.
Is it a good idea at this point to invoke AC21 ?

The attorney's office is trying to get in touch with USCIS and find more info.
Meanwhile, planning to use InfoPass to meet with IO.
Why notice to deny was not sent to me is puzzling me. No RFE's.
I have lost 2 years as the status all the time is case received and pending (checked few minutes before too).
Make sure you save a copy of status showing pending today.

AllIzzWell, as the_jaguar has suggested FOIA is the only way. And yes that helps, some times FOIA requests might take longer, so request it ASAP to get it quicker

Seeing that you are a legal immigrant paying taxes and being put thru obstacles, they should surely be willing to help you out.
Getting the driver's license is not the problem, I know it will come. Problem here is why I cannot drive outside SC for up to 60 days waiting for the DL card? Remember I've to surrender my old SC license. This is serious limitation to my work, e.g. I need to go to Atlanta on 08/19 and I cannot drive there.
In September I will go to Italy, what if I don�t get my DL till then?
