These are documents which have to be carried. There is no confirmation that he/she wil be asked but if asked they have the documents on hand. I got stuck in immigration for 4 hours when they asked me all the above documents. So i believe in better safe than sorry
On a side note this happened when i was travelling back from India via Lufthansa
Makes sense but a couple of my friends who traveled during the winter break and came back through ATL did not have an issue, so that was where I was coming from.

Seems like AP takes a longer route to the mail box in USCIS... Mine is at NSC and my experience is that everything out of there is slower...
Anyways I am greatful that they approved it and its in mail ( fingers crossed )
My AP was approved Sep 9th, and EAD on Sep 12th, got EAD yesterday(16th), no AP yet, hope they send it to me this week, I dont want to pay again and refile

We(My wife and I) recently (July 2009) got our FPs done. immediately after that our cases got transferred from TSC to VSC.
PD: Feb 14, 2005.
I thought VSC is not processing any I-485 applications. Is anyone else in the same status ?
Also, I have to apply for EAD and AP.. Do I apply in TSC or VSC ?:confused:

There is no such thing as duplicate EAD. Everytime the EAD is lost, USCIS issues a new EAD with new dates of approval and expiry i.e. they treat it as renwal. If you are not using EAD, don't bother to apply for one. It costs around $300+(i am not sure on this) and needs to be renewed every year.

My H1B and my wife's H4 visa were recently renewed for 3 additonal years. We also got new visas stamped in our passport valid for 3 years based on these H1B & H4 renewals.
Now I am planning to change jobs and will be applying for H1B transfer. My questions are:
- do I need to submit an application for transfer (new I797) for my wife's H4 visa
- can my wife travel out of US and then back into US on her current H4 visa while my H1B transfer application is being processed by INS.

I have a friend...He had H1 stamped on his passpost when he was with company A..He changed job went to company B...He went to India...Got married..Got his wife's H4.. He did not go to restamping for his own visa stamp..They came back to US....This is firsthand I know....His own H1 stamp is still company A stamp...He could reenter the country...His wife entered too....He is working for company B... This is one experience.......
If anyone has experience of entry being denied in this situation please post...I would want to know.....
The USCIS information systems are very antiquated...I donot think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing...In the end all I can say is it is your own risk...Your wife may be able to use the last H4 and get away with it.....

i too remember reading postmark doesnt matter it should be received by 17th
I agree,it was clarified in immigration-law that the application should be received by Aug 17th and does not matter when it was sent.

That is a perfectly fine way to do it, though the added overhead of wrapping your image into a button is unnecessary because the MouseLeftButtonUp event on your image is very similar to the Click event on the button.
The end result is the same in either case - your users get something you can click on!

Seems like a good tool.. But couldn't sort out by Nationality or country of chargeability.. The EB1/EB2 category works fine.. Not sure if its tracker issue.. or I am doing something wrong.. or missing any info in my tracker details...

All of IV's funds have been used to pay for lobbying, advertising on rediff(not anymore), organization registration, mailbox, domain name registration mainly.
Travel, food, rental cars, hotels for core groups members is not being charged to immigration voice's account and its coming from out-of-pocket of core group.

I know that an amonut of 100K is nothing in trying to bring attention to our cause, but you guys have sure come a long way.

You need experience letter from employer A. Explain to employer A that you are attempting a switch to EB2 for your own career and if it does not work out, you will stick with theim. Telling lies is not a good idea.

Thanks for the sample email2. I am going to talk with HR on Monday to post it. The branch that I work in has many graduates that I beleive are on H1-B status. I have to convince them that they are about to face retrogression problems some day.

Just on the lighter note I wonder if even USCIS ignores that mistake and give you and your co-worker's wife a GC.
And if your co-worker's wife is from a county which is not retrogressed then you can get GC early based on alternate chargebility. Mistake can become boon many times. Just kidding.
Probably you will get RFE and not rejection.
