I got the same RFE. My attorney wanted me to send the following documents which i did. This may help you.
Copies of birth certificates of any children;
Copies of evidence of a joint residence (i.e. Current Rental/Lease Agreement in both names, Ownership of property in both names, etc.);
Copies of joint income tax returns;
Copies of insurance (health, car, fire, etc.) in names of both parties;
Copies of joint bank statements;
Copies of joint credit card account(s) in both names; and/or
Any other type of evidence that shows your marriage is bona fide (i.e. photos of you both before, during and after marriage, correspondence to each other, correspondence from others to you both, etc.).
Don�t worry about sending too much. For these types of RFEs, the more stuff we submit, the merrier.

Till now, i used to believe that USCIS is working hard and eventually they will clear all the backlogs and give the GC to everyone. but by seeing your post, i think i am mistaken, they are doing a big mistake by giving a GC to people like you.
Once you become a gc holder and then a citizen, you will question a lot of other things, like giving social security/medicare to poor people who have not contributed and will also question the tax cut(1000$) given to each child when claimed as dependent , as you will argue that , i was doing my second Phd and others who dont have anything else to do, made children and are now claiming the cut.
All i am saying is that american people are in great danger by allowing people like you to get the GC and citizenship.
Ok, among the many replies to what i wrote, a few have been rational discussions. A healthy argument is always encouraged. However, I will dissect the above post line by line to pinpoint exactly why some people completely deserve the treatment that they get. Here I demonstrate how a healthy discussion is hijacked by imbeciles and that is why IV is doomed to failure.

When one switch employers using H1 transfer, the previous employer has to notify USCIS that you are no longer employed with them. The soft LUD's that you are seeing is a result of USCIS going back to the old employers and confirming that you are indeed not working with them...
Its just a procedural thing and nothing to worry about....

Finally I am a US citizen after being 10+ years in this country. This is one of my biggest fulfillments and it means everything to me. US is just not home anymore for me, it is my country.

you can document (some emails/documents indicating that job loss was possible) that you had to move because of things out of your control, i.e. you had intentions of working but because of situation you had to move, then you will be fine.
same things apply if you are laid off soon after getting GC.
i learned not to make career decisions based on "potential" future problems.

we had Infopass appt. IO said your case is pre-adjudicated and under Review. we ask how long will it take to review? He said - doesn't know. can we open SR? He suggested not good to open SR. Reason is they will give same reply - case is under review give us 3 to 6 months. USCIS always tell us to "Not to open SR for Under Review case". Let the petitioner to send latter to request the status directly by sending latter to,

What is this reverse brain drain ? there is no such thing - folks who are here are going to hang on tooth & nail to stay here come hell or high water - the only ones who are going back are the ones who have no other option.
It is not really a reverse-brain-drain. It is just less than 100% people on work visas attempting to stay permanently. Reverse-brain-drain will be when American born (or well established people) try to move to other countries. Some living here for few years, finding difficult to get used to American culture, food, life-style, etc., might decide to go back to their native country, but that is not reverse brain-drain.

Did you use PO box as address on I-485? I had heard USCIS does not accept PO box as address in I-485.
they do according to my lawyer and I got my welcome notice the last time sent to my PO BOX the first time they sent the Welcome notice they sent it to my physical address not PO BOX but because the address didn't have the C/O name of my friend and then my name so the mailman when He read the name and looked in the mailbox he didn't found my name so he returned it to the sender USCIS if USCIS wrote C/O...he would of let it (the mailman) the second time USCIS sent it to my PO BOX directly ( what they did they included the original envelope that was sen to my physical address with the return to sender tag and the time received and sent ... + the original Welcome notice with the physical address on it all these two item sent in another envelope sent to my PO BOX

I don't think the only reason is "wife's cannot work".. The other reason for most is changing employers, and career growth while I-485 is in process.

It reminds me this story every time I visit IV.
Workers working with an export company which use to ship chickens from all over the world to US/Europe, were packing chickens from some Indian port. Each box was having some 50-70 chickens in it .
After loading them in, they were about to cover these boxes with the tops. The leader shouts to workers: " No need to put the tops. They wouldn't go any where "
Surprised with this order, one worker asks the leader 'Why'. The leader says : " These are Indian chickens. IF one tries to escape, other will pull its leg."
